New Strut Problem

I put a new set of OEM struts on the front of my 05 MCS and now I am getting a creaking sound from the passenger side. I looked at it more closely and found the the shock is sticking up higher on that side than the drivers side. I took it off and remounted it but still the same. Any ideas

Looks like the "Guide Support / Front Strut Mount" is perished.. This thing....

Best of luck.

Motor On!

Yes that is a worn out or cheap aftermarket strut mount that is bad. We see them all the time like that.

Is there a chance that something got put back together wrong when you put the spring back on the strut? If you pull it back out.....pull the spring off of the strut and check it all out.
