Supercharger Maintenance?

I decided since I was changing my pulley to a 16% one that would also be the perfect time to change the oil even though I only have 69K miles on it. Both front and rear chambers had the correct amount but the rear oil was a greenish color and smelled horrible while the front chamber had a reddish brown color and smelled of normal oil. Is that normal??

Also does the Mini's take a special coolant? I'm used to the green, purple and red colored coolant but mine was a brownish color.

Brownish coolant, could just be dirty. Maybe rust build up. Or it could be oil mixing with the coolant system, which is bad. I’d flush the system with new coolant and go from there.

Usually when we do a service we find one end will have half as much oil as it should and it always is dirty and smells bad. If yours was full you are in good condition change it and go.
We have a kit to help anyone wanting to do it themselves

As for coolant just use the green stuff. We do in our shop and it's fine. The factory stuff is just too expensive and we know one of the coolant manufactures makes it for MINI they just make it blue.

Well it''s all done and even added the 16% WMW pulley. This car is a beast! With the Miltek exhaust and CAI this car runs strong. Stock pulley gauge was showing 12psi and now it's showing 18psi. Very happy here!
