Front Aero Bumper installation question

I've just purchased a used front aero bumper and it seems the lower lip that would screw into the mounting brackets was cut off or ripped off. Will the bumper fit sturdily without the bottom being properly attached? If not, any alternatives to mounting the bottom part? Thanks.

Mine came without the brackets, although I put them back on later. They don't add much in the way of brute strength, they're actually quite flexible - my guess is they're there to keep wind vibration and flapping at the corners in check. The top and wheel arch mounts take the weight of the bumper.

Get an m7 carbon fiber splitter, it seems to reinforce the aero bumper on my mini.

I ran mine for years without those black plastic clips thingys as I was pretty low I just cut them off to keep them from getting ripped off and possibly tearing up the whole bottom section. I did use that center bolt though... I made my own and sold some along the way of a copy of the M7 spitter. It is bolted to that somewhat flat area you have left so while it adds some wait to the bumper it's not helping any to hold the whole thing to the car...
