Supercharger PTO Replacement

So the water pump drive pto gear broke on my supercharger so I was wondering if it is possible to get a replacement. The supercharger itself seems fine. Turns smooth, pulled the pto side plate off and the gears look really good, drained the oil and there actually was oil and it wasn't black, its just the gear that interfaces with the water pump that is busted. Possible to get that whole plate? I can't find any of it anywhere. Thanks!

Reviving this because I also am curious, has anyone found a seller that offers replacement backing plates for the PTO Waterpump side?

I know gears are available but Ive often find the shaft the Large gear sits on will bend/become wobly and ends up failing.

When I was on the phone with Dyno Bob of Stiegemeier Porting a couple months ago, I think I recall him saying that they're producing their own gears and billet backing plates for supercharger rebuilds. Not sure if he'd sell you just the components, but worth giving him a call.

Yeah - doing a quick search - to no avail...
All I can think of is possibly; pulling one from a salvage yard. ('mind you - I don't typically build/replace my Mini with salvage parts...but...) Sometimes you're left with no option....

I often see/come across salvage R53s at the yards with the frontend completely removed (destroyed) with the supercharger still in place, giving easy access, without having to spend all day wrenching off the front end just to get to the parts that are buried behind the radiator.

Still hoping a source for new comes up someday...

@Here2Go

I have been removing the supercharger, charge tube, throttle body, and bypass valve + horn all as one, and the yard charges it as a intake manifold lol.. its all connected as one, so they dont question it xD

^^^Exactly!^^^
In some cases where I "shop"; If you pull a ($200) charge pipe they'll simply look at it as a piece of plastic tubing and charge you $2 - $5 .

way to go Chucho

I also talked to Dyno Bob recently, he said they have been getting massive amounts of interest on the billet backing plates and PTO's, and after they are done with the first batch of production, do intend on selling the pieces on their own.

They said maybe after 2nd or 3rd batch of production is when they expect it to be all good.

I am at 4 chargers at this point, and working on gathering anymore I can find.
