Best R53 Seat upgrade?

Last fall I took my R53 to visit my brother in NC mountains.. Was some awesome and spirited driving up there and I kept thinking.. the only thing that would make it better would be some seats that held me in place better.. So my goal in the next couple months is to find some seats for this years trip..

I was thinking the R56 seats? I hear they bolt right in and you only have to swap the electrical connections.. They also have airbags and can be found for a reasonable price..

Has anyone done this swap? Do the R56 seats have better lateral support? What model R56 should I look for ro the best seats???

My car is a daily driver and I do put my kids in the back seat every day.. So the seats need to function like a regular factory seat and be reasonable comfortable... I'm not looking to go full race seat..

If your seat is in good condition, one option to consider is Schroth harness. My riding saddle (Mini can be a wild bucking bronco ) is in excellent shape so I have no reason to change them. I just cinch up the Schroth harness tight enough for the track and it is good enough for me. They can be removed in under a minute and the Mini is back to be a polite little runabout.

My seats are in pretty good shape... This is an interesting option.. Never seen one of these before..
I see it goes into the rear middle seat belt buckle.. where do the other 3 anchors attach?

They are very well designed, and rightly so for allowed to be used on track over OEM belts. There are 4 anchor point, and two you see in the photo. The other two at the front, one clicks into the OE belt receptacle. The other into a receptacle that you add to the OE floor belt anchor and it stay there and does not interfere with the use of OE belt.

Schroth harness is a step that most people go when driving on track, before if ever, going into the deep end of swapping in a racing seat and 6 point racing harness.

Also interested in seat upgrade suggestions. I was leaning towards some Recaro Speed/SRD seats. I was also thinking the newer factory seats as an option.
