MINIs prominent in Roundel
Hey folks,
The November issue of Roundel (BMWCCA - magazine) features numerous articles on our favourite car:
Revenge of the Geezers - Mini vs. MINI at the Pittsburgh historic races
Sun Fun MINI - the new MC and MCS convertibles.
Moddin' the MINI - many of our best known mods are featured.
Must be MINI Madness - Contrary to popular thought this is not about the Dragon, but about the tuner company.
Go West, Young MINI - Get your kicks on Route 66.
Also there is an article on my favourite BMW, the Z1. This issue is worth the annual cost of club membership. Great reading.

It's the official magazine of the BMWCCA you need an annual subscription to the CCA and one of the perks is 12 issues of Roundel.
The magazine makes it worth it for me
You can check more at www.bmwcca.org However, the mag itself is not online.

Not only is Roundel a great read every month, but Satch Carlson (of AutoWeek fame back in the 1980's) is the editor. Every issue is full of Bangle - bashing, BMW owner whinings (mostly about I-drive and the demise of the Ultimate Driving Machine), great car club racing and driving school recaps and sign-ups (of which MINI drivers can participate and attend),and some superb articles on BMW's cars: both past and present.
It's about the only North American club magazine that can go mano a mano with Road & Track or Autoweek for quality of writing and printing. A terrific accomplishment at the car club level.
While I could do with less carping on Chris Bangle and I-drive, some members are very well informed on all things BMW; that benefits those of us who are new to BMW and more MINI oriented in learning a bit more history about the Blau mit Weiss Roundel.

The $35 membership goes a LONG way. Several MINI-welcome events and more important driving SCHOOLS. Unlike other clubs, their events are based on educating the driver. Autocross, track days, tech sessions, wine tasting, and more. And on top of all that the additional perk of two print mags, Roundel and local. As you can tell I'm very impressed in the few months I've been a member. Find your local chapter and sign up for some events.
