The back of the drivers seat on my 2002 does not stay connected to the seat.I think all it needs are a couple of clips but Mini wants to sell me the whole plastic back. So I'm looking at another seat from someone parting out one. Are seats from following years the same?

Need to have ECS chime in here as they have a very good handle on the odd parts and fasteners that our MINIs have.

 

From RealOEM, it looks like the seat back attach clips are integral with the seat back so there are no separate attach clips. It looks like a $75-$80 part but if you don't want to spend that, I'd suggest contacting Way Motor Works for a used one. Good luck.
