The three seat option available in the UK was the my main attraction to the Clubman, but due to some safety regulations it is not available in the US. Does anyone know whether this could be ordered from the UK? I talked with Long Beach MINI and they didn't seem to know.

Also why no Mellow Yellow for the Clubman S???

 

I also wanted this but at the autoshow I sat in the back and I could not see how 3 could sit back there .

 

Main reason yoy can't get the rear 3 seater is the restraint req's we have. Also.......have you tried to get 3 people in the back of a MINI? No way.

 

I was hoping it would have been avalable too. Three adults is crazy... three kids however, not so much

 

no way you could 3 of our req'd car seats back there and it would be a very tight fit with anyone over the age 8 or 9.........................LOL

 

I believe we only "need" it because it's not available here. Anyway, we will hopefully see it in real life next month in the UK, so I'm sure you're right that it isn't practical to have 3 sit back there.
When we lived in the UK, we had an 84 mini, which could uncomfortably fit 3 in the back - good for short trips to the pub :-)

 

and we are fat in the USA..
