I'll try to keep this brief...

Woke early this morning and rather than try to go back to sleep decided to head up to LA (from San Diego) to finally take some pictures of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Get up there around 9 and it's cloudy, but that turns out to be good since the building is covered in stainless steel and the clouds definitely cut down on glare.

I came back later in the afternoon as the sun was breaking through the clouds to get a few more pictures. Parked at a meter, get back with 8 minutes to spare - and a $65 parking ticket on my windshield! Apparently, you're not allowed to park there between 4pm and midnight. Ugh. (The ticket was written at 4:12, I got back at 4:15) My first ticket ever.

I start heading south, sit in traffic for 45 minutes on I-5 being angry. Traffic breaks up in Irvine (I think) and I finally get moving, but I'm still not real happy. Then lo and behold, a PS MC is approaching in the next lane over. As it goes by, I wave and in return get 2 big thumbs up from a boy in the passenger seat and some very enthusiastic hand gestures from a teenager in the back seat.

Long story short - thank you, you guys made my day! And thank you to all the Miniacs out there - don't stop waving, you never know how much someone might appreciate it!

(And hello to the other PS MC that caught me as I pulled out of the View Point just north of Oceanside later in the evening. Hello and slow down, crazy!)
