My MINI had a 2 week delay at VPC (11.5 - 11.19). When it finally got released, my Dealer checked and told me the delay was associated w/ a "defective bumper." She pointed out that it was a defect from manufacture as opposed to damaged in shipping. She also pointed out that it has impacted more than just my car.

1 - Has anyone else heard about this?

2 - What should I look for when I pick it up? Obviously paint match on the bumper & fit & finish issues as well depending on how it was repaired. Anything else?

If it matters, I think my build date was 10.11.

 

Yikes! Not that I am without empathy for you, jpa2825, but I hope it does not push all those waiting back a month or two. Supposedly, there is talk going around about a push back for current folks waiting (like me), and this news could explain it.
