Has anyone here..............??!!??

done anything to their paint job? Ive been thinking of doing something different to my paint.....and looking to see if anyone else here has or knows of where I could find pictures of something like that. I mean more than just normal stripes or flames. I want to do something original and was wondering if anyone else here has or has heard of it. PLMK The only reason I am contemplating this is because I have learned that Black really is a pain in the you know where. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
Oh.......I have seen the boob car....so spare me the agony of having to see it again.

 Hiya TrplBlk!

I guess I'm DblBlk, tee hee! Anyway, Sarcux, Prez of the NE Ohio MINI Club, (check the regional forums) had his Indi Blue MCS painted like the Austin Powers MINI with the Union Jack flag over the WHOLE thing. It's really fun in person!

I had a CooperFlag Union Jack sunroof flag installed on my Wicked Wanda. It looks great!

Have you maybe considered the 'true flame' job. The one that looks like realistic flames. Some guy by the name of Mike Lavellee (sp?) from a shop called Killer Paint, I think it was, does one Hellofa job with it. No pun intended. And if you have a black paint job, then the flames would really stand out.
Cheers,

My submission

No real change in paint but could not resist the urge to deviate from the norm

Someone once posted some pics of a very nicely flamed EB MCS. God knows where those pics are now...it was over a year ago I last saw them.

Flat metallic paint

SportCompactCar magazine has a project MINI they painted "flat metallic black"... much like paint used on some sport bikes. While I haven't seen this car in person, I did see the same paint applied to some hot rods at a recent car show. I must say, it's really excellent. Nice smooth matte with the sheen of metallic underneath. The pics in the above article don't quite capture the look of the paint.

I've been considering this ever since I saw those rods a few weeks back... could look really sweet.
