Best pulley puller ?

Getting ready to do my pulley soon and wanted to get everything together that I'll need..

What's the best puller to buy ?

I have 17% pulley kit from wmw with belt and plugs. What else should I replace while doing the pulley ?

Craven hands down

I used the craven puller a few weeks ago to make the jump to the WMW 15%. I also used a vicegrip chain clamp to double check that it didn't slip. https://www.amazon.com/gp/f.html?C=1ADAO1HGSFP37&R=8WA0D0NZ09FP&T=C&U=https% 3A%2F%2Fsmile.amazon.com%2FIRWIN-VISE-GRIP-Original-Locking-27ZR%2Fdp%2FB00004SBCB%2Fref%3Dcm_sw_em_r_awdb_dcs _s5YrybED7S201_tt&A=AASABOYWLQFRTAQ8IICBAYQUP2CA&H =L5WGHCSP6GRB6HUR6ZOO7JJ2QNQA

How many miles on the coil pack and plug wires? If you have 60k with original pack and wires, I would change them. I put a pulley on my R53 and no more then a week later the coil starting acting up. Perhaps age, perhaps my foot on the peddle . . . . . . . . .

63000 on the car now. It's funny cause I was looking at the MSD coil & wire set today. So should I pick that up ?

The Craven is the easiest. If you're looking for a deal check the marketplace I've seen a couple pop up in the last week or so.

With the pulley work, and what is required to get the thing off, have you also checked your belt tensioner? The shock and bushings might be shot.

I am the type that when I have something torn apart, I replace the items that are reaching their life span. I had the R52 in service mode to change the crank O-ring so I did the water pump.

Yes I am most likely going to replace that as well. Same mentality as you. While it's apart I'll replace most daily wear items. Not sure if I should just buy OEM coil and wires or go msd etc.

OEM MINI coil is good, but expensive

Don't go MSD they fit like crap and have to use new bolts that don't hold it right.
We use the Screamin Demon coils as they fit like stock and our WMW wires.

If you are asking about other parts to replace while have the belt off that commonly fail I would suggest:
1. the crank pulley. Use the ATI damper since it is better dampening, lighter, and won't fail

2. Belt tensioner shock bushings with our WMW delrin ones as the rubber on the stock ones dry out and fall apart.

Sounds good. I'll definitely be picking up the coil and wires. The crank pulley has so many different options with it. I'll have to call and speak with you before I order that to make sure I order the correct one.
