after hurricane mathew oct 8 i accidentally drove through an area of water maybe 4 inches deep and stalled in the middle the car hasnt started since despite drying out in the sun with the bonnet open for 4 days it basically just clicks with all the warning lights on when i turn the key. any ideas on what is still wet and what can be done?
How fast were you driving? did water splash up into the engine compartment? I have seen engines blow up from getting water in the intake but I think it's much more likely that you have a battery/electrical issue.
Shoot, man. A couple of months into ownership of my R53, driving at night, I accidentally drove into water deep enough to come halfway over the bonnet. I thought I was hosed but stayed steady on the gas and slowly pushed through it. Despite my sense of dread there were no negative affects. Other than I had to clean a lot of debris out of my grill.
