Hi all and first off thanks to all the posts and advice about minis cause without them I would be completely helpless.

My 2003 Cooper on acceleration from stop and also going up gears and accelerating from within gears has a knock!
Its a clunk/knock that when I put power on whilst in gear and driving (not necessarily changing gear but does happen aswell) or when setting off from stop/stand still there is a loud knock or clunk.

Its sometimes loud and sometimes not so....

A bmw specialist has looked at the entire car and said that the engine mount has been changed and all looks good. Albiet he hasnt driven the car,
Just up on lift.
There is a lots of grease coming from the driveshaft seal and something seems to of been worked on in that region so maybe its that?
There are some rear rubber bushes that need replacing but the sound seems to come from the front passenger side.
Is there an engine mount on the passenger side?
Any idea what this knocking is, ive heard that people have fixed such issues with tightening bolts on mounts and so on.... Any ideas?

Would really appreciate any thoughts on this, I love my mini and want to start styling but mechanical bits first!
