I'm confused...Looking for accurate CURRENT options info!

I'm trying to configure an 05 MC. I have glossy materials from the dealer (from July) but only thru reading NAM, MINI2 have I realized how out of date some of the info is. I was all set to order in Velvet Red only to find out it's not been available for a couple of years. I'm bummed. Also, it sounds like I could now get leatherette seats in gray, not only black, which (if true) would talk me out of $1300 leather !! Also, what about this new "convenience package"--garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers and something else. It's not on the MiniUSA configurator??

WHERE can I get the current available options without driving all the way to the dealer??

it seems that MINIUSA had the "current" options on the new configurator. The convience package w/ the garage door opener is not availible until january. You can order them seperate though, I think the UGDO is about $100 or so dollars. And It seems as though one can get grey letherette these days. Someone posted a picture on one of the tracking threads, maybe august build, it look very nice. Good luck!

Mini interior options are confusing, but one thing is for sure - there is NOTHING black about any of the upholstery options. At best "black" in a Mini is dark gray. If you expect anything that an independent observer would define as "black" you are out of luck. The configurator lists things that won't be available until January, and leaves out some things that have been announced for January availability. Basically, you spec your car, follow the news, and make changes up until the car is built.

What does "not available till Jan 05" REALLY mean?

Does "not available till Jan 05" mean I can't ORDER it till then or does it mean I can order it now for a car that won't deliver till Jan 05???

Available January 2005 means starting with January builds. Dealers will get allocations for January builds the end of November.
