Boost

What is the best place to get a boost signal from. I want to install my boost guage, as well as a WMI which uses a boost signal for progressive spraying.

Most of the time we tap into the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator.
Just make sure that all the connections are tight and if you remove the vacuum line directly from the regulator that it goes back on very snug and is not brittle, if its even slightly loose or worn, replace the line entirely, the last place you want it coming off is at the fuel regulator.

Do you have a picture. Never seen this before. I was looking at a walk thru but it like they are going into the manifold. I was even thinking of tapping into the IC on the Cold side but i don't think ill get vacuum from there.

When you remove the intercooler, you can see fuel pressure regulator under the intake. You can't see it on this picture, but it's pretty much underneath the roll of vacuum tubing. Curved long nose pliers are a good thing to have for this. You put a T there and you're good to go.

There is a vacuum port on the intake manifold. Passenger side right under the intercooler.

The fuel pressure regulator is OK to use too but kind of a ***** to get to if you have fat fingers. Pliers help, but sometimes the rubber is really stuck to the nipple.

Also, I've had problems with the vacuum line popping off under boost.

Clean the hose and fitting with brake clean and use a little hair spray to help keep everything good and stuck on.
Sounds weird but it's an old school trick and it works.

Hope that helps.

Thanks

what size hose for the stock side? it looks a lot bigger then the after market hoses you have. I'm going to take this on this week sometime and i wanted to make sure I have everything needed. Hate starting something and not be able to finish because I'm missing something.

Need to install the following
Alta SC boots it been sitting for about 3 weeks.
Alta Gauge Pods
Innovate AFR/Boost/Shift light Gauge
AEM WMI
Hardwire my Max 360/Dashcam/BT Unit/BT Aux
Fix the Aux cable
Install my Oil Catch Can
