I just ordered a used LSD for my 04 MCS, I am going to begin the install this week.

While the tranny is out, what general maintenance jobs should I do? I was going to replace the rear seal, is there anything else?

Kind of related; the passenger side diff output (diff to axle) was leaking. I replaced it with one of these, and it still leaks. I thought maybe I didn't install it flush, so I was going to replace it again with the tranny out.

My question is: did I buy the correct seal? I found this seal on WMW for 10x the cost... is there any difference?

 

You might as well replace the throwout bearing even if you dont need it. Stupid plastic.

 

clutch is an option as well

 

I was thinking of doing the clutch but I contacted the previous owner, and he said the clutch was replaced in the last 10k. So I'm good there!
