Why does the car feel amazing first start up of day compared to later drivng.

Can somebody explain to me why the first start up of the day, running at operational temp, feels stronger than if its already driven for a couple hours. I'm running ALTA %17. Megan Intake. And 380cc injectors untuned.

Heat soak more than likely. You might also try another intake that is actually inclosed. I know the feeling your experiencing I think. I had a Megan intake also and it felt sluggish at some points to. Went back to the stock intake and then the ddm works intake and feels better now.

Try the cowl mod, see if that helps. I had the Megan for awhile and had no issues. I have the open top Alta now and that deletes the cowl all together for more air flow.

You can revert to stock and do a little modification to still give you the same affect for quite a bit less if you're willing. I did it to mine and don't see any reason to go spend triple the amount of money on a name. If you have any questions about it just ask.

I'd bet it mostly heatsoak...
But moving to an enclosed airbox would help...I used Dinian but they are kinda rare now...
Alta does make covers for their CAI to help seal the engine heat out...

+1 heat soak or maybe as the car warms up one of the intercooler boots or intake boots is loosening up or has a hairline crack.
