Aisin automatic question

I purchased a R53 MCS 5 months ago with an Aisin auto tranny in it. the thing has all of the problems listed in other threads. Does anyone know of an expert in these units in the SoCal area that will not want my first born as payment

It's not magic. The tranny is used in the VW Jetta and even Saab 9-3. A good transmission shop should be able to swap your valve body and reset the basic codes. If you need a tranny adaptation reset you can take to the MINI dealer.
