So we love our "S", but we are going to need a new family truckster to relpace the old Accord wagon some day (we have 2 young ones). What are the chances of a new mini version of one of these coming down the pike one day?

Has anybody heard any rumors? Can we start one? I vote for 4 doors and 2.0 liters with the supercharged version giving up over 200hp.

i highly doubt anything "wagonish" coming down the product line (the mini already looks like a tiny wagonish type vehicle)

...then again you never know...

1lessSuv, Last summer there were rumors flying around that MINI will introduce a "wagonette," a cabrio, and a pick-up! I figure a "wagonette," will be a 4-door family-friendly wagon. Sign me up for the pick-up!

I'd be suprised if there was not an attempt to re-make some of the origonal MINI variants (delivery truck, station wagon, etc..)

I'm with you, MINIclo, sign me up for a pickup!

Would it be too much to ask for AWD and 200HP in that as well?

How about jump seats? (Really, I'm kidding about this one.)

I saw a great picture of what a MINI pickup looks like (I can't remember if it was a mod or a prototype, but it had the actual MINI front end - it wasn't a concept), but I'll have to dig around for it.... I'll post it if I can find it again.

A possible MINI pickup?

While I was on that site I also saw a good pic of a possible clubman (or is it a wagon?), so I figured I would post that here as well, since it seems to be a good "Variants" discussion...

If MINI ever introduces either a stylish 5 door hatchback or a MINI wagon (Known as the Clubman in the classic Mini model) I'll be the first one to let go of my 2001 Chevy Impala LS sedan and put a deposit down for either one of these variants.

We already have a MINI Cooper CVT but the wife will not let me get a second 3 door MINI Cooper. Reason? We are thinking of getting a family started and one of our cars has to either have 2 extra doors (Better rear seat room too) and/or reasonable amount of trunk space.

My wife and I love the current MINI but after thinking about it, she has a point that having two, 3 door cars and expect to carry children (plus all the hardware) in the back of either one is going to be a real chore.

MINIUSA knows that in the US there is a market segment that would go for either a 5 door MINI or a MINI wagon in a jiffy.

The current 3 door hatch back MINI Cooper makes excellent use of interior space. A well designed, tastefully done and stylish MINI 5 door or MINI Wagon can be done by the masters at BMW without compromising an ounce on the good looks of the car or sacrificing its handling/performance dynamics and its trademark "Go-Kart" feeling in the road.

MINIUSA: Bring them on! We want one!!!!!!!

Actually, the Clubman model range had a squared-off front end and was available as saloon or wagon; the original wagons went by the names Morris Traveller and Austin Countryman - both names that were used through their entire product ranges.
