Adding a Chrono Pack to R53

Hey guys, my 2003 R53 has the Nav in the center spot, a speedo, and tach above the steering wheel. My question is it possible to replace the Nav with a Chrono Pack with to my knowledge has a boost and temperature gauge? Or if it would be cheaper to just buy the gauge and add them above the steering wheel. Or any other options out there, I'm mostly looking for a boost gauge and some other useful gauge to tell if my car is healthy at an affordable price.

I don't know how possible it is to install a chrono pack, but that package does not have a boost gauge. It contains a fuel gauge, coolant temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure. According to everything I've read, the oil temperature is a calculated value (not measured) as no one has found an oil temperature sensor on the engine.

Yea sadly no boost gauge, pretty lame. The only thing nice about the chrono is having the speedo above the wheel. From what I've read I'm not sure you could even get the swap to work flawlessly anyways.

You'd have two challenges, the wiring to the accessories and the coding of the Kombi (the dash control unit). Where there's a will, there's a way, but you will have to have one heck of a will to get this done.

Ok so no chrono. How do I go about adding a boost gauge when I already have my speedo and tach above steering wheel

Can go with the P3Cars vent gauge. I run my boost gauge in my vent. Can check it out HERE.

Hi, SmurfNinja:

There are some quality gauge kits available and an application guide, which can be found here. Let us know if we can help!

Awesome I think I'm going to buy one of these. Which vent do most people put it in. From pictures it looks like they use the one closer to steering wheel but when driving I feel like I wouldn't be able to see it. Thinking about using the passenger side vent. Any thoughts?

Could work, if you think you'd like that position more. Mine's in the drivers vent as I rarely ever look at it unless I'm curious as to what PSI it's hitting at WOT from time to time. My more important gauges, oil pressure and AFR are mounted where they're visible. However, the P3 gauge is much more universal than a single gauge as it's a multiple display gauge so you have more you can view other than boost.

Aeroforce Interceptor plus Cravenspeed Z Bracket and 52mm Gauge Pod is another (slightly cheaper) option.

I swapped my 06's gauges with chrono gauges and they work as intended, although the DSC and TPMS lights are permanently on and there's no way I have found to turn these lights off/enable these services. The swap itself was very simple, but the trim above my steering column wouldn't fit back on with the dual gauges on top. I just left the trim off and it's not so noticeable. I would like to eventually mod my trim or get a trim piece that fits the dual gauges.

It is like they say:

water temp, oil temp, oil pres and gas gauge
I think it can not be installed, but the nave can show gauges with some kit.

this is a video of the nav with OBDII kit
