I need new tires and rims! Help please!

Hello!

I have to change all 4 rims from my 05 MCS for a new ones and so I thought to buy a new rims too just because I have the car with the stock rims and I want to make it look more "sport"
I plan on not change the size of the rims, just still at 16". I did some research and I wanted to do 17's but I saw people saying that the car will not be as "handly" as It is right now and so for that and more reasons I am gonna still using the size 16".
I want to get some XXR 530 Flat Black

My questions are:
- What do I get for my 05 MCS with stock suspension?
- What is the difference between 16x8.25 and 16x8? What is that .25 of the 1st choice that is not in the 2nd choice?
- What size of tires do I should get?

XXR 530 16x8.25 No Offset:

XXR530 16x8 +20 Offset:
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-530-Wh...p/53068082.htm

I am planing on get a coilovers in a few months so I would like to get a rims that work with coilovers (I am thinking on getting these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FK-AK-STREET...torefresh=true).

I thought on get tires wide smaller than the rim and then look like "JDM" but not too much. Just a little bit (I will attach a picture of what I mean). Maybe 195/50/16 or 205/45/15.

Please I need help because I'm pretty confused as you all can see...

If go 17" it will still handle great, it's all about the tires. Either way you go get a lightweight wheel.

17's will actually make your car handle better, since you are removing 1inch more of side wall. Sidewalls flex, wheels do not. that is if you get tires that have more sidewall. (so this is all case dependent)

16x8.25 is a 16 inch diameter, with a width of 8.25 inches, so the difference between the two wheels is a 1/4 of an inch in width. Wider the wheel, the harder it is to fit.

offset is another animal. offset is the distance from the center point. so the wheel with no offset, the mounting location in on the middle of the width. 4-1/8th out and 4-1/8 in. while our cars favor for positive offset. the other wheel has a 20 offset, so the mounting location is 20mm closer to the outside of the wheel. so roughly 3-3/8 will be outside the mounting location and 4-7/8 will be on the inside (over the caliper)

you will definently have more luck fitting the 20 offset wheel on our cars. and the width of the tire will come into play to help not rub on the fenders. I have no idea if those wheels would work, since im not stanced. but the likely hood of fitting a 215 width wheel would most likely rub, you may have to run a 205 or 195 to allow the rubber to taper in to not rub. and also I would invest in some adjustable or non adjustable chamber plates to help the wheels and tires fit

I had this same question and went with 17. Seemed to have more tire choices, too.

You're welcome. Ya I bet. My wheels are always caked in brake dust and cleaning is a task. Something that might help with the process though, check out the Adam's Wheel Woolie - HERE. It's what I use to help with cleaning multi-spoke wheels.
