KW V1 Coilover question

Hey guys, just bought some KW v1 coilovers off here for $700.

Trying to do some research on them but not having too much luck, and just had a few questions hopefully someone can answer!

1) When I compress the shocks down, it's very tough to press them down, and pretty tough to pull them back up, but they don't really come back up automatically (maybe very very slowly if anything). Is that normal for these type of shocks?

2) Are they gas or oil filled? (probably answers question 1 by itself)

Hopefully someone can chime in with some knowledge, thanks guys!

-Cody

KW V1 uses Twin Tube design for the shock. There is medium pressure gas and also oil. The oil is squeezed through the valve holes to create the dampening.
You should be able to push the shaft into the shock body and the shaft should extend slowly due to the gas pressure pushing the shaft back out. I do not know how fast the KW V1 should fully extend but I would guess about 10-15 seconds.
