Cool

I saw a Mini recently that had this in place of the speedo in the center.

I really like it but I haven't seen it alot .. was it included only in specific models? Can you get that AND a speedo? or one or the other?

I also notice some models have the rear 'fog' light but others do not - Would it be difficult? to add it to those that do not?

That's the "Chrono" package. The (smaller) speedo gets moved to, and shares space with, the tach over the steering column.

yeah that's the chronopack, its one of the rarer picked options. retrofitting takes quite a bit of work since youll need to add some sensor pickups to the existing sensors and get the pack it self, then find a small speedo, have that flashed to your DME, and installed with the brackets as needed.

the speedo is located next to the tach, same with the indash nav.

I don't know about the rear fog..... could just be a simple wiring job

I think in the 2-3 months I was looking for a MCS I only saw one, maybe 2 with the Chrono Pack. One was a convertible that I really wanted, but didn't get.

I was never a big fan of the Chrono package. However, the '05 MCS I bought a few months ago has it and it is beginning to grow on me.

Rear fogs - depends on year.
Pre '05 have them in the upper tail light
'05/06 have a blanking plate, and the wiring is usually taped up underneath in the back.

Either one needs a new toggle rack and dealer coding.
I've always been curious if one just added the toggle to the non-rear fog toggle rack if it would still trigger the fogs. Note that the appropriate toggle has a hole for an LED to light up to show that it's on.

This makes me feel a little better about looking at cars that do not have the rear fog light and I want it.

My car is a 9/04 build, so no wiring in place. I have decided to add the reverse light from the '02-'04 model cars. Backing up my driveway in the dark is an adventure, so I hope the additional light will help.
