I have a 07/2005 R53 wanted to get the clear mini tail lights but they show fit up to 7/2004. Does anyone know if they would fit the 2005 body? Any idea what has changed on the body from those years?

 

The taillights on the 2002-2004 R53 (view here) are different from the 2005-2006 R53 (view here). As you can see the taillights 2002-2004 don't have a built in reverse light whereas the 2005-2006 lights do. People, however, do conversions all the time, but it will require some rewiring to make them work. The Genuine clear taillights - left here and right here - is the same, but just with clear lenses. Early cars had reverse lights in the bumper, late cars in the taillight housings.

Late cars have a fog light (when optioned) in the location of the early cars reverse light.

Wiring is different, as the reverse light has moved locations.

Not impossible, but will require you to do your own wiring.
