Just talked to askmini. They say my MINI S "George" is on the Maersk Teal and it should arrive at Port Bayonne this Wednesday. Wow! If all goes well I should be motoring before December 1st. I sure hope so. The sales tax here in Indiana goes from 5% to 6% December 1. I may call the dealer to ask if I can prepay or something. Now, if I could just sell my Honda Accord.

Nope ! My IB/W MCS is on the HUAL TRITON. The MINI invasion starts 11/26/02 for me ! I've been waiting since the first week of May and all I can say is "YIPEEE!

You can do your loan papers now. It is nice because that way if interest rates go up, you are locked in. I had all my paperwork done on the 28th of October and the car had not even touched American soil yet. It also makes it nice because the paperwork is started and there is less to do when you get to the dealer except to have fun going over the car.

I am on the Maersk Teal also. Hope to be driving by Thanksgiving.

 

I went to the Owner's lounge 2 days ago and learned my mini was en route. How do you know what boat it is on? And how long does it take to get to the distribution center? Thanks.

I called 1-866-askmini. They said the ship would arrive 11/13 and my mini should be at the distribution center around the 21st.
