02 Cooper non s, car makes a low pitched whiny noise matching to the speed I am rolling. Only when in gear, also sometimes have problems getting the stick into reverse. Planning on changing my transmission fluid this weekend to see what happens, any suggestions as to why this happens?

 

Changed trans. Fluid and that didn't help my noises, but it was well worth it, best thing I've done to my car yet
