Man you did a great job! This thread has made me want to start my r53 project sooner. Just need it to warm a bit more. I hate working on a car in the cold.

Actually, the paint is too glossy. Rookie mistake that will get remedied this spring sometime. I spent too much time sanding in between each coat on the hood going for a show quality paint job and when done, it looked flawless. Problem is, the stone chips are horrendous on the hood. There wasn't enough texture on the primer coat for the color to hold on to. The front bumper that I just did a little sanding on doesn't have one chip at all. I see now why show cars with flawless looking paint get brought to places in enclosed trailers.

painting is serious work, wish I could do it as its a great skill to have.
