Has anyone used this transmission fluid before?

So I am about to change my clutch as my throwout bearing burned out. I found some online tutorials that recommended this oil:

Amazon.com: Red Line (50204) SAE 75W80 API GL-4 Manual Transmission and Transaxle Lubricant - 1 Quart: Automotive Amazon.com: Red Line (50204) SAE 75W80 API GL-4 Manual Transmission and Transaxle Lubricant - 1 Quart: Automotive

Has anyone had any experience with it? Is it good?

What year and model MINI do you have?

The Redline MTL mentioned above is a good substitute for the factory Texaco MTF-94
for most R53, R52, and R50 MINIs with a manual transmission, except the newer R53
and R52 "S" models without LSD specify a lighter fluid, BMW LT-3, and the Redline trans
oil closest to that is their D6.
You can put MTL in those as well, but cold winter performance and gas mileage might be
affected slightly.

Red Line is a great gear oil. I've used it for many years. Just make sure to use Red Line Oils application guide here to be sure it's the correct one for your transmission. Otherwise, the Red Line MTL 75W/80 GL-4 Manual Transmission Fluid is here for $14.95.

No other trans fluid will touch my Mini, or my Miata until they are no longer mine. If I sell them I will strongly advise the next owner to do the same.

If you order a bunch on amazon, free shipping!

Been running Red Line 75W80 for the last 4 years in mine, no complaints about it.
