Does calling them make things go more quickly?

I guess - and please don't hate me for saying this - I've never been one to sit and watch the water come to a boil.
The car will be done when it's done...I mean I'm all atwitter as well - mind you I'm a good 9 weeks away so it's easy for me to talk - but getting all twitchey about when the doors are going to be attached and what ship you're on seems to me to be over the top and in fact makes it harder to wait.

This of course is just my opinion...no aspersions being cast :smile:

But trying to find a way to get a GPS fix on the ship so you can row out to sea and meet it at the territorial boundry seems like a bit much

I almost bought a used mini, and im soooo glad I didnt, even though its driving me nuts, the wait almost feels like an initiation, like some sick twisted ritual that when it is complete, only then can I enjoy the full power and joy of the mini.

By the way any one else heard about the running naked around the mini three times and mixing your blood with its oil before it comes off the truck thing? I heard it will give you 3 extra horse power.

I am waiting for classes to start up again at the university. Until that happens, I have too much free time and i spend a lot of it 'round these parts. once classes start, i wont be thinking much about this until the car actually arrives. one more week of boredom till school...

I have been to Amsterdam...I prefered Ketwijk! Like I said...not being judgemental about it..I just don't see the benefit...but that's just me. OTOH I was totally obsessive while deriving my spec...now that it's on order...I can chill..after all, I'll be taking delivery of a Convertible ..in November..in Denver..no rush.

I have a question though since we're passing the time waiting to move to the next level (Actual Ownership)....

Have you ever noticed somebody drive past you and the back of the car is all stickers...Ya' Know...Free Tibet...Legalize...NIN (Sorry I couldn't reproduce the backwards N)...ICP...Visualiize Whirled Peas...all that along with a temporary tag indicating that they just bought the car? So...what I want to know is...did they buy the car because it had all the right stickers...or did thay have all the sickers collected just waiting for the day they'd buy a car?

holy crap i bowed down to the powerful urge of peer pressure and called mini for the first time today!!! My car started production this morning at 827am BWHAHAHAHAHAHAH i cant believe it, to be completed on sept 6th!!! this is madness, i was supposed to be week 39, and my sisters mc is still scheduled for 39 not even in production yet?????? we ordered on the same day!! well needless to say it is a good day!!! all those just say no commercials were soooo wrong, I say bow down to peer pressure, if everyone jumps off a bridge jump with them, if everyone calls ask mini call ask mini!!!!

 

OK I am DEFINITELY calling tomorrow. Maybe mine will be in production too!! Yaso, is yours an S or not? They seem to produce them in runs of Coopers and S's.

I asked the guy at MINIUSA if they keep track of how often we call. And guess what, they do. He said some people call 2 & 3 times a day I wonder if they do something to your MINI based on how many times you call My first MINI came with MINI1 door sills & they don't even sell the MINI1 in the USA Or maybe you get extra free goodies in the mail. So far I've just received a cute little booklet about the Cabrio. But expect more gifts, I got quite a few with Louie.
