Replacing Stock Seats

So my stock seats are worn down a bit and I think instead of getting new ones, I am going to upgrade to some lighter seats.

What is everyone else running in terms of an aftermarket seat? How hard was the install, and what exactly is needed over and above the newer seats?

Thanks for the help and input guys.

I'm interested in this also. The one thing I've heard is that most of aftermarket race seats aren't really designed for "comfort", they are designed to hold you tight......and on longer drives (an hour or more) you are feeling pretty sore. Any truth to that?

If you are looking for comfort. Get some out of a gen 2. I just put leather out of a 2012 in my 2003. Never had leather before. It really updated the look and feel of the car and bolt right in. Front and back. Now it isn't a racing seat. But it was also only the fraction of the cost of one seat.

Did they also plug right in as far as the electronics go?

Im looking for something more in line with a racing seat. Trying to shave weight any way I can. Also, I am not a fan of leather. My car has the blue and black interior with leather seats right now.

If you're looking for comfort check out Sparco's street seats here.

If you're wanting race, look at their race seats here.

As for race, I'd recommend the Evo series seats as a good entry level racing seat. blue and black is an option for some of their seats as well so that your interior is consistent. We are able to get Sparco for you if you do wish to order one, let me know!

For install you need mounting hardware and seat brackets. It's not too complicated to install and is an easy DIY. Mounting equipment here.
