What's this thing?

Found it after doing my compressor coil clutch. It's on the passenger side of the engine bay. It looks like it's supposed to be connected to something.

It is the 'bonnet unlatched' sensor.

OH, where does it go? I don't have a light on in my car.

It connects to the latch itself. I had to replace this sensor years ago in my R53. Just play around with angles and you'll find where it goes.
