MINI Award?

I received a call from the manager at my MINI dealer last night. He informed me to please make it to the Ferman MINI meet on the 7th here in Florida that the dealership was putting on. He said they were going to give me a present and MINI corporation was going to recognize me nationally because I would guess I'm the first to put over 100k miles on the MINI. I wonder what it all is going to be Any guesses?

Very nice. Glad they are doing something for you. They should make you an honorary MINI Test Engineer.

In the old days of German cars, they gave people metal badges that had "100,000 KM," "200,000 KM," etc. maybe they are going to bring it back.

If they had any marketing savvy, they'd give you a brand new MINI of your choice in exchange for your appearances in a new ad campaign! Lots of good heart-warming PR for them (with loads of free press) and a nice new Mini with a fresh warranty for you.

Whaddya bet you get a plaque!

A New MINI of your choice in exchange for your current one would be a good trade. Man if I knew I would put 100,000 miles on mine too

Well at the Ferman meet I received a hand painted wine bottle with the MINI logo on it. Also I received a call from MINI division and was awarded 100 bucks to spend on merchandise off the MINI USA web page. Also might get together with a rep from MINI for advertisement reasons. As of yet I have not heard anything.

That's pretty cool. PLEASE don't open the wine, save it for the 200,000 milestone.

I was thinking that they would give you a grill badge. That would have been very Brit!

You probably spent more time and money going to the meet than MINIUSA gave you. If they want you to be in an advertisement, make sure they pay you and your MINI! D*m cheap MINIUSA.

I'm guessing MINIUSA was not ready for 100k in 2 years! My dealer tells me I have more miles than they have seen on an 03,more than most of the 02's.And I only put 25k miles on in a year. They wern't ready for you my freind.

There was some guy in the States that was awarded a new pickup truck in trade for his truck that had over one million miles on it. Guess you have a little while to go if they'll match that award.
Cheerio,
