Hi, thank you for the tip. What do you think is missing in this picture? This car is a UK spec, RHD, not sure if that would make a difference.

Any chance you could put down the direct link to the exact part that you think I need to replace? Thank you for your time.

Yep,
Its a RHD car so you will need the Right side 63126922156 . When talking about R and L sides its always refer to when you sit in the car and look forward as your right and left hand side.

Our website is built around LHD US cars. But most items fit LHD and RHD MINIs. Big differences are the Steering column, Dash pieces, Power Steering unit and rack. Also windshield wipers, wiper arms, front seats, glove box, Euro specific items ( E code and taillight : which we carry ). So if you have a RHD MINI then its best to contact us or give us a call on the phone.

You have the euro taillights 7/2004+: With the clear lens top:

Also by the options you have a Euro Park Lane Edition :

Great thank you. Wonder if I need to replace the expensive part as well or just buy and pop the cover back on. Probably won't be able to really tell until I get the car. Picture is too small I guess. Thanks for the help.

If the tip of the washer jet does not look like our pics or is damaged , it will need replaced.

Just posted up some more info for you, you have a MINI Park lane edition. Check out my last post.

I just looked up my vin and it says 'Mini Park Lane' and lists a ton of features.....awesome : - ) How lucky!

Wow, I thought that looked like leather seats! The look of the seats, outside colour is one of the things that sold me on it, but had no idea it was a special edition. She is definitely a bit of a project car but for the price I paid should be well worth it unless the engine goes kaput, but hoping the standard engine and manual gear box keeps the risk lower.

Only odd thing is no bonnet stripes unless the previous owner removed them if decals (doubt it though, probably painted on)?

Thank you again for all your help. Car should be here by end of June, just gathering all the information on things I need to replace etc. and will definitely send some business your way when it comes time to put together the order.

Yea, you got a rare R50 model MINI . Those seats are the English leather seats with piping. You should have the park lane badges on the rear side window and right above the side turn signal. I can see them in you pics.

Thanks and you are welcome.

Never owned a FWD car, how bad is the pull when accelerating with these cars or is the non-S pretty mild power wise so no real torque steer? Does ASC+T help at all with torque steer? Noticed Park Lane comes with ASC+T. Thanks!

Not really, After driving many FWD cars MINI TQ steer does not seem that bad even more less on the Cooper ( N/A ) engine.

Thank you ECS.

What's your thoughts on mushrooming struts towers - can good top plates prevent mushrooming if it hasn't started yet or is the only real way to prevent them to install them under the strut tower by removing the top of the strut etc.?

Thank you.

Our ECS STP are good protection/ good insurance. Been running these for a while and hit some big potholes here and there, held up good. If you are mushroomed already from not having plates then you will need to hammer them down close to original as possible then add the plate. Our design contain the special hardware ( grabs more threads,: recessed ) also and our plates are thicker then most aftermarket ones at " 15mm thick 6061-T6 aluminum " .

Plus they come in two color options. And they are easy to install with our linked install pdf.

Delivered from San Antonio, Texas on 11/11/2004 with 23 miles. He now has 108,603 miles on him.

I’ve been up and been down on him with various pieces breaking or going south. I got past those and I am really enjoying him. Working on refreshing the suspension (e.g. control arms, LCA bushings, endlinks, mounts, rear swaybar, new springs, spring pads and Tokico Sports). Then start preparing for any combination of clutch, water pump or supercharger/waterpump.
