Help de-chrome my 2006 mcs

I am just starting my de-chroming project and need some advice. I did the 'ol plastidip crap to my GP2 door handles, headlight and tail light covers and did not really care for the finished look. I am looking for something permanent. I was thinking of powder coating them. Has anyone done this before?

Also, how hard are the door handles to remove?

I want to rid of ALL chrome on my Mini, including the Mini badges. Anyone know how to get these off and back on??

the door handles are a pain to remove, just go with some black covers
