IT is true... http://www.piloracing.com/Accident
Pilo Racing Mule got Rear Ended.... Luckily the engine is 100%. There is more money in that then any insurance company would give me.
The funny part, is that I was looking for a wrecked mini to restore, didn't think that it would be my own. LOL
Damage:
UUC Exhaust - Destroyed
Rear Bumper - Destroyed
Rear Bumper Mounts - Destroyed
Rear Hatch Scraped and bent slightly.
Battery box and rear trunk floor - Bent up and in
Going to get it appraised tomorrow morning, then getting a Large Hammer, and straightening the battery box out, then the stock exhaust is going on and hopefully I can get a rear bumper used from a local dealer.
Then for scheduled work... New brake lines and fluid
And hopefully be back up and running for poconos on sunday.

Thanks for the support guys.. and hope to be out motoring as soon as possible.

That sucks man. I would have stayed to chat, but under the circumstances, you had things to take care of. So what happened exactly? Hard breaking by the Young station?
At first I thought that you car had died and the accord behind you was giving you a jump. So, I turned around to see if I could help out. Then, upon further inspection, I realized what had happened. At least it was the back and not the front like others have said.
Good luck gettin ready for the weekend man.

Thanks bro.. I appreciate alot. I was stopped, and saw him coming in pretty fast. I just braced for impact, hit the brakes, so as to not get sandwiched into the car infront of me, and then whack....
Nothing I could do.. I acutally went to college with the guy who hit me, so there will be no problem with the insurance, but It really sux.
I should be able to race this weekend. Now I can test out another brand exhaust too :-p

Dan,
Sorry to hear about this. Good to hear you are OK.
Hard to access how much damage there could be to the rear alignment.
Might have some trouble getting things right after everything is put back together.
Lost your rear bumper? Time for an aerokit I'd say.
Lost your UUC exhaust? Can some exhaust shop reuse the UUC mufflers and weld together some tailpipes (custom triple design?).
Did your pilo rear strut bar hold everything together?
Never underestimate the power of rigid reinforcement.

Alignment is ok, car drive straight and every thing is straight with the hatch, hwich is a good place to check. I am going to check the squareness of every thing to make sure, but I'm pretty confident.
I'm going to try to get a used rear bumber today, I also need the rear bumper support because that broke.
I think that the mini handled it rather well considering I don't think the other guy hit his brakes, (no skid marks) and I was pushed a good distance.
Will take pictures of the whole process for every one incase you are interested.

Well,
Here is the Current Status.
control Arms Replaced,
Exhaust Replaced,
Battery box relocated to origional position,
bumper half there.
But I am ready to race.
Replacing brake lines tomorrow, and getting it tinted. Might as well keep going with my current plans...
I'll post some after pictures tonight... it was to wet out to take them today.
