Can I buy this part?

From inside the oil filter housing.
It appears 2 of the 3 clips are broken.....It will stay in the housing....but Im getting a low pressure light....so I hope this is the problem

AFAIK, the answer is no. But I've seen a post from an intrepid MINI guy who used a circlip on the backside of the valve to hold it in place.

Could this plastic piece just be a drain back valve that opens when you take out the oil filter so the residual oil will drain back into the oil pan? It looks like that is all it is....so blocking it off with a rubber stopper should solve the low pressure problem with only an spillage issue when you do and filter change.

Does this seem logical?

Looks like it would coma as part of the "OIL FILTER WITH ALUMINIUM COVER" basically having to replace the entire Oil Filter Housing.

Alternate: Maybe it can be found on a engine being parted out from a salvage yard/shop.

Motor on!
