Curious to know whether I should have been assigned a production date for my 2005 MCS order. I placed the deposit with the dealer back in late April and I get a sense (lack of returned phone calls and e-mail) that i might be being passed over. I originally thought that the order might not be specified until the 2005 configurator for MINI USA was released, but I now read on the site that some have already placed their orders and show up in the owners lounge with production slots.

Since the dealer is well regarded i haven't pushed the issue much and have given them the benefit of the doubt, but I will become more agressive if it seems others are getting their orders in ahead of me.

you should have gotten a production no. already.... I placed mine last week and have gotten my prod. no. and have been eagerly tracking the progress of it in the mini owner's lounge... although it does say that it's on order awaiting a production date, I know it's there.... in fact, I changed colors a couple of days after placing it and now it shows the correct one.... Good Luck....
