whew... after a few weeks of researching and shopping around, I decided to put in my order for a 2005 Cooper S. I placed my order through Julie at classic mini. She estimated it should be around an early Sept. delivery and then maybe a week or two for it to be shipped to me in California. I know believe that this was the best possible scenario since I end up getting the exact Cooper S that I want and don't have to go through those overcharging California Mini dealers. Just a few questions now.... how do I track my mini to see when my production date will be, etc? Anybody else ordered their car with Julie at classic? she said that so far she has 3 cars (mine included) slated for california shipment in Sept. Just wondering if you want to have it shipped to a central location and having like a possible mini meet there... sort of like an unveiling.... anyways, I'm just so happy that my mini is in the "process".......

 

You should get an order number from the dealer. You can then use that to track the progress on the MINIUSA web site.

 

Yup... got my production number already..... I guess it wouldn't show up until this week since I just got it this weekend....

Or you can call 1-866-ASK-MINI they have access to the factory and can tell you exactly when it starts production till they send it to port.

 

thanks... just checked on it in the mini owner's lounge at it does say that its now on order... which is cool..... can't wait for Sept..... yay!!!!!!:smile:

Yeah, I placed an order with Julie a couple months ago for an 05. She emailed back telling me I'm actually the first on the list for an 05 from classic mini.

I should be getting it in "mid-August". I'm rather excited, but I'm trying not to be too excited since it's still a month and a half off. No sense in getting worked up for it only to have to wait that long.

Anyway, it's a Cooper S, Pure silver with black roof and mirrors, premium package, and then I'm still deciding on a few smaller things for it.
