R50/53 SeaFoam & SES Light?

SeaFoam & SES Light?
I SeaFoam'd my '02 R50 (90k miles) yesterday. Besides the requisite amount of smoke, the SES light also came on.
How can I reset the light? What might be the cause?

You probably logged a misfire code, which can be read with a generic code reader.
That said; you don't need to Seafoam the Gen 1 engines, as the fuel is injected pre-valves, so it is cleaning them while the car is running.
In cars that aren't direct injection, Seafoam is a snake oil treatment when used in this respect. It can be used in the oil 300-500 miles previous to changing, and will aide in cleaning deposits.

The CEL goes away after 3 key cycles without the fault recurring.
