They're doing an initial batch of 30pcs. Expected launch in a coupla weeks. They'll put up a link once this is out.

It shouldn't be much. According to Condor, shipping worldwide should just be around $10 or so.

In Norwegian currency that's like a nickel less than the cost of an orange... :-) Great living in Norway but crazy expensive to visit

How do I create a new post? I'm having issues with my R53. I'm also new to the forums, so can someone tell me how I can create my own post… that would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry guys but there is no need to buy a kit to remove the power steering.

All you have to do is remove the pump and fuses. Then take off the lines and fluid tank. Drain some of the fluid from the rack, then just loop the two lines coming off the rack together.

We've been doing this for years on race cars. Ask a miata racer, the do it all the time rather than buying and expensive R code rack.

That would probably be the way to go if you never intend to go back and re-install the EPS pump. But if you "butcher" the hoses to loop back the lines the cost for new hoses would be $300+. If the price for the loop back device is around $50 it is still a pretty good deal.

I agree anyone can go the looped hose route like what Da_Ghost did here:

As you can see, it's not for the technically challenged & not simple plug & play like the delete block. You might end up spending same or even more than the Condor block. This is the reason why the e30/36/z3 guys prefer this over the looped hose.

Yes, as mentioned before; we probably all knew it was possible to loop the lines, but the fittings, lines etc were not as elegant, easy to install, or inexpensive (to do correctly).

It's a great thing to have in the "back pocket" so-to-speak.

Count me in, my pump died and I honestly don't miss the PS, might just ask BMW for the pump though.

Of course, you gotta ask BMW MINI for the pump & the fan! The delete block is plan B that might have potential to be 'A'.

I have a high mileage R53 so this idea sounds like a sensible solution to me.

Will long term use create additional wear on other steering components ?

The lower steering column shaft (joints) would pretty much be the main thing to experience additional wear.
