Condor Speed Shop will be listing this item on its site this weekend. Hurry & grab 1, initial batch is limited.
Remember to remove most of the PS fluid & air off the rack by turning your steering side to side prior to bolting up. Expect higher steering resistance than having a good pump, but better than leaving a bad 1 in.

Thanks for following.

minsanity, have you driven with this yet? If not, any feedback from those who tested it would be nice to hear also... Also, if Condor himself drove such an equipped MINI, it would be neat get this input in relation to other cars, such as the E30...

Tony, my kit is still on its way. I just intend to keep it handy. Condor just finished the initial batch & has test fitted the kit on the donor rack. No relative comparison data out yet. There is nothing else we can mechanically tweak on our rack's steering resistance w/o the pump but letting whatever risidual fluid & air flow smoother from 1 chamber to another can really help lessen it. Let's await feedback from real world usage.

I need one and will be ordering this weekend. I have been driving with the pump disconnected and the only thing that sucks is parallel parking or maneuvering in tight spaces. I will post my review as soon as I install it.

Here's the live link, guys:

Remember to remove most of the fluid off the rack by turning side to side w/o the banjo bolts on prior to attaching the delete block.

Does anyone have a link to tell-tale signs for pump failure, and how hard this is to install? I've got a 2006 R53 and my steering whines at the outer limits of turning the wheel, so I'm not sure if I'm just steering on borrowed time or not... only about 70k miles so far.

05 and 06 are not known for having as many problems; have you checked the lines and the fluid level?

It is common for the lines to develop seeping and the level to run low.

Sometimes it start acting up (stop working from time to time), in some other cases, it just die. The whinning is normal, unless it's really loud. I changed my pump for a brand new one three years ago and it's whinning a bit, even new.

The delete isn't hard to install in itself, remove both bolts, install the block with washers and you're done. Of course, if you like it deleted, you can remove the pump, reservoir and lines, which is the longer part of it.

You can have access to the two banjo bolts from the driver side, so you remove the wheel, put an oil pan under the rack, remove the bolts and install the delete. Then you have disconnect the battery, unbolt the fuse block and flip it over so you can remove the 100 amp fuse for the steering pump. No matter if you keep everything there at first or not, you want to kill the power to it, either from the fuse or the connector (just don't drive without covering both the plug and the connection on the pump if you go for this option).

Got mine delivered yesterday... No instruction sheet, but that's not a problem. Simple looking install... One question though: How much fluid do you leave in the rack? Or better yet, if you drain all the fluid, what's the recommended amount to add before installing the block... PS pump isn't dead yet, so no rush on the install...
TIA
Kaveman

Don't leave any!! Clear it all out by turning the steering wheel full left and right. Fluid will just make turning more difficult.

Waiting to see peoples responses--someone who has tried it on another site says " DON'T DO IT"!!! unless you have/want arms like Dwayne Johnson...but I'd like to see what you all say.

When I tried it on mine, I realized that it wasn't for me, I do track my car from time to time and it would kill the fun. But that's just me. I'm curious to see other people's feedback tho.

I unplugged mine without removing any fluid about two months ago because the whining was so loud. It really hasn't been difficult to turn other than when parallel parking or really tight spots....... I already ordered mine so I'll report back soon.

Use the original Banjo bolts---they allow air to move freely thru the plastic piece. You should have 5 washers according to the web site--instructions there also.
