What's wrong with me???? We use my MCS almost all of the time now. I really try my best NOT to drive it as I already have 2100 miles in 3 1/2 weeks! I'm on pace for 35k and I only have an 18k mile/yr lease!!!

So for instance, tonight we went out to dinner with my sister-in-law's family and we took my wife's car (2001 Honda CRV). Well, I took one of my 7 MINI models with me. I couldn't bare to go out without some sort of MINI!

I'm a real sicko!

Obsessed, yes. A sicko, tell yourself, that would have to be proven in court. As for the mileage, you should have bought the car and not gotten the lease. I have averaged 65K a year on my cars the last 5 years. I plan to hit the 100K Club in '04. Unless someone out there does more motoring a year than I do, I should be the first to hit 100K.

 

The lease for me would have been $390/month. Buying with the extended warranty is $464. Something tells me that these cars aren't going to be dropping their values very much... like Jeep Wranglers, which can even go UP (Kelley Blue Book)... so leasing really isn't the best idea... as if you want to keep the car at the end... yeah, you're in a mess.

 

I don't drive it everywhere, but I did buy every model I could find. <10 and in every color except pepper white. Have you seen it anywhere? I explored leasing big time. The "Creative" financing on mine is is somewhat like one.

Picked up my MCS 7/5......let's round it up to 4 full months that I have it now
My odometer reads: 7950 or 1987/month or ~24k /year.
I've never kept a new car past 24k....EVER
Does this mean ...I will be mini-less by next summer :smile:

BTW ...Freeport Mini here on LI, NY has an ad in the sunday paper for a mini lease....@$199/month...3 year lease. (min $ down ..don't recall....less thatn 1k)
And they have cars in stock.

I picked up my MCS there off the lot as I mentioned before, and they were excellent to deal with.

Everyone at work, from co-workers to my patients, keep asking me when am I getting my car! It is amazing how you don't realize that this may be something that you talk entirely too much about! LOL I have the little models on my desk, I have pictures on every computer on my sign in name, I have the little Euro decals all over the office and I visit this site at least once a day! I sometimes don't even check my email for three days but I DO visit this site at least once a day!

So, are we all sickos? Mmmm, not sure. Do I admit I have a problem? Sure! I want my car! Everytime I think about that little car, I smile. And, every time I get good news (like when I heard it was at the distro center) I have to do a happy dance and tell EVERYONE who will listen the good news. Now, do I want a CURE!? Hell NO! I want to continue in my happy little euphoric world!!

So, take that little model to dinner and tell EVERYONE who will listen that you are an addict but you have no desire for a cure!
