Groaning Sound when Turning

Bought a used 06 MCS. I'm getting a groaning sound when turning at lower speeds, especially in parking lots, etc. Any idea what it could be?

I read somewhere that the oil used for the differential is the issue and it needs to be changed out?

Strut mounts are probably out.

Or ball joints are failing....or tie rods.... Look at all of them....
Strut mounts ARE likely the issue...look for tears in the rubber on top and/or severe mushrooming....

Still got the original powersteering pump ? I had groaning sounds in the same situations shortly before my powersteering bought the farm.
