So recently I've noticed a high speed clicking noise coming from the engine bay under heavy/medium acceleration. It doesn't occur when the car is fully "warmed up" aka after at least 20 mins of driving.

I've heard something about the crank pulley and belt friction having to do with it but i'm not sure of the rumors, and I don't think it's the SC. Imput would be appreciated. (04 MCs 51k)

*Edit I also have noticed a single "CLICK" when letting off the gas during normal driving sometimes.

 

Does the "clicking" noise do it every time you are on heavy accel?

I've noticed the same thing, but it depends on different circumstances for it to make the noise. It's between like 3k-5k RPM?

Okay, yeah I'm experiencing the same noise.

One of my friends said it could be the mesh in the catalytic converter pulling apart and rattling but I'm not sure about that.

 

Can you take a small video clip of the sound you are hearing?
