CD *really* stuck in radio—anything else to try?
'03 Cooper S, with the standard CD/radio head unit. I had the head unit out of the car entirely when I was installing the aux in kit the other day, and I could see the CD inside. It doesn't look like one of the bad adhesive labels. I grabbed the edge of it with needle-nose pliers and gave it a good yank or two, but it didn't come free—inside the head unit, I could see part of the CD player surrounding the back part of the disc, moving when I moved the CD with the pliers.
I've also tried pulling the fuses for a while to reset it; the mechanism whirrs, but it doesn't eject the CD. Any other ideas? Now that I have aux in it doesn't matter as much, but I'd still like to get it working again.

Replace the head until.
Ok, seriously... go by the local car audio shop, if nothing else. They usually know if there is a manual release for CD's.
And if you want to replace the head unit, I've got one I could be talked out of.
