No worries, my good man! The patch weld shot didn't help me at all since I had no clue that the brake lights were in different locations, Gen 1 vs Gen 2...
This is turning out to be a very educational thread.
I printed a bunch of those off a long time ago... Just googled "Army Hurt Feelings Report" and picked the one that looked the most like a real DOD form...

Got the roof leveled back out, and re-primed despite the snow and cold. So tomorrow I start again. This time I will be using White Silver instead of Pure Silver, for a little more color separation between the base color and primer color.
I wouldn't want my MINI to look rusty, but I have a 69 GTO to restore (saving up slowly) and the idea of making it a jalopy sleeper with massive power under the hood DOES interest me!
