Plus, there may be lots of lurkers and members that are simply enjoying your work and this thread, w/o posting. Count me amongst them, have not really posted much, and don't have the resources to do the kind of work that you do. But, having said that, some of the coolest posts on this forum IMHO are yours, the roof chop MINI, the Duell AG type hood mod, and the likes. I have lived these kinds of mods vicariously through y'all, and will miss your posts here.
Cheers!

I'm not shutting down all together. Just NAM is not going to be the top priority.

I have been on these boards for the last 5 years, and it has taken a change for the worst. This site once was full of people doing real mods, suspension builds, engine builds, show car builds, that is mostly gone now here. It has been replaced by random adds wanting me to "Compare to the Fiat 500" or "Add 50HP with our little chip"! There are still a couple threads I will check in on once and a while, but it wont be every night, or maybe week. I might throw up a pic every now and then as well.

Nothing says you cant follow me to the other forum either... I have been an active member on 4 sites for years, but its time to start cutting back, starting with this one.

I really want to follow this so I've moved over to MA. Not quite leaving NAM... Still lots I like to see here, but I feel like the MINI enthusiasm is waning everywhere. As the brand progresses, I don't see it creating the likes of what I've motored with for the past 5 years. We'll see...

But I have to see this MINI when it's done!

If you haven't seen it already...

This is as far as I got today. The door is Kite Blue (Bayswatter blue) and the quarter is Laguna green. Its kinda cool how light the colors end up after everything is artificially aged.

Well this weekend is all about the other side...

But, here is where the passenger side ended up!

Big thanks to Kristan (Dittin) on here for supplying the stenciling for the door graphics! Top quality stuff, great price, and fast turn around... Even if I did have to drive through a flood to pick them up!

Looks really amazing! Thanks for keeping this site updated too The only thing that would make this project even more sick would be a roof chop

Great job!

I would love to paint his car like this... But I wouldn't do it exactly the same! I would do the body all in a black color coat, with a dingy off white roof, no secondary primer coat, and way way mor rusty nibs to come through the black and white.

Only thing that would make mine more complete, would be to find the bumpers I have been searching 9+ months for! (Pre Facelift chromeline Justa bumpers) :D

Yeah, you need to get over there to the UK and help him out haha.

Any plans to dingy-up the chrome pieces on the car or the nice, clean window glass?

Not 100% sure on the chrome yet, I want to see it all done and reassembled first. The glass is staying as is minus the cracked windshield.

If I could ever afford to go to the UK, I would like to stop in and see him, and the "Project Binkey" guys!

Been trying to put new pic's here since the weekend... Every time I get some stupid Parse Error, and failure to upload...

You wonder why I am done trying to deal with this site. :(

The rock is just there to hold its place in case I yank it a little too hard over the San Andreas fault line in the concrete... Wouldn't want it rolling into the trash barrels. :( Hey it works and is cheap as dirt! Thanks though, it is a good looking rock though I guess... :P

Heres some rusty closeups to show the actual detail in the paint...
