Unless Mass requires a bone stock exhaust there's no reason it should not be legal. Your emissions controls will remain intact and the exhaust won't be loud.

Check your state's vehicle code.

 

Never heard of any complaints....know Pete over at Greasysgarage has done many in mass....
As stated above all emissions parts remain intact...only change is you loose the resonator.... So you loose a bit of weight, gain a tiny bit of sound....
