If you have a strong motor to start....should be close IMO (hope you did checks before dumping a lot of cash into it!). Should make for a fun ride...saving for a clutch yet?! Lol.
Lots of miles or lots of previous reving (usually lower compression due to ring wear), lower...
Have fun...heck bet you will be able to roast a set tires!"

Throw a cam in there, it'll be close. I have a very similar setup, but with a cam, and came in just slightly under 250whp

You'll be close, probably will depend on dyne. I have close to the same set up except a 15%, dinan cai, and OBX headers which is causing a constriction at higher rpm. I'm at 244hp. I'll be getting the rmw header as soon as I can.
Ps. I have the rmw street cam.

Or even a good baseline (close orgional stock HP) before the modding started...
Since it sounds like it is all done, not much to do other than run it!
Cam choices are depandant on the planned use of a car...a race cam will get more HP up hi, s street can more middle range....but show lower overall HP....so if you are building a car to say " I got 250 HP" vs getting a fun street car with 240ish HP that is more street-able in daily driving is a choice one might have to make....
My opinion....be frank with Jan, on how you want to use the car...he has done so many r53's he can point you at the one for YOUR NEEDS. That is the key....YOUR needs vs number you want to brag about....

Dyno numbers are just that--what you want are deltas. I went from 189 tuned on 380 injectors and JCW pulley HP to 249 with head, header, cam, tune and 15% pulley, and more importantly, a better torque curve. I didn't have one of those wednesday cars to begin with, but the end result was VERY good. The weather was horribly hot and humid on both of those dynos, so the numbers are probably a little better than that, but it's not the numbers, it's the before and after deltas that have transformed the car. But my redline is higher than what you're going to want, and most of my torque comes up high in the rev band--not great (but still very drivable) for the street, but damned good on the track.

I gotta ask, do people with these 250+ hp minis start to get torque steer? Does the stock suspension compensate or are aftermarket parts required to keep the car going straight hand off? I dont forsee myself getting that much horsepower in the near future but its something ive always wondered about.

Good question and I would say heck yes some serious *** torque steer with stock suspension and stock open differential. At the very least you are going to need a LSD for darn sure.

I don't know but 250WHP seems a lot just with these parts installed!
250whp=280-290hp approx.
Some of the big players invest a lot more and don't even achieve those numbers
Just my opinion.

The op said BVH....BIG VALVE HEAD.... That is the $$$ item that also makes the power...
With the list...only stuff left is a stroker......can...pulley...injectors... Tune... Other than a header power wise...what do you suggest?!
With the mod list he is in the neighborhood with a good motor to start.....

For a street driven car...the bvh is kinda like a cam... Doubled edged sword.
Can be great for high rpms, but can make lower rpms a bit weaker from what I have been hearing....
All about meaning good road manners if it is a streetcar....
And not investing a free more thousand on a motor that is getting tired MIGHT be wise......

Honestly, any induction upgrade will not yield its potential w/o the head, 100k is nothing on these motors, my bvh went on @ 70k & no problems until now (212k), and of course it will work, but without the extra "lung capacity" of the BVH, you'll just be choking it some.

Not only is the BVH one of the biggest gainers in the hp chase, it's prob. the most important on these engines.
